I really feel a lot more competent now, and I'm sure you will too. This is a fairly simple graphical diagram of just how a computer works. It's amazing how an animated diagram like this can simplify how an operating system performs all of its various tasks. Once you grasp this simple example, you will be well on your way to understanding computers.
